A bit about me
I grew up on a farm in south central Nebraska, moved to the Omaha area in 2001 and to Valley in 2006. I graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I have a background in Risk and Compliance and currently work at Syngenta as a Partner Rewards Specialist. I have two four legged kids, Bella and Fina and often foster other dogs as well. I am extremely passionate about Valley and Western Douglas County and all the residents who live here.
In 2014 I volunteered to help with Valley's 150th anniversary celebration and I began to discover my passion for serving the community of Valley. With the help of many volunteers, I have been organizing the annual Valley Days celebration since 2015 and in 2018 I founded the Valley Days Foundation to ensure the annual town celebrations would be continued for many years to come. I have served in various roles, most recently the president, of the Valley Waterloo Business Association since 2017. In 2016 I was elected to serve on the Valley City Council, in 2020 was elected as Mayor of Valley and have continued to be involved in numerous things in Western Douglas County.
